What certain uniforms or equipment should I bring to a game?
A referee should always dress professional during a game. The basic uniform for a referee is a yellow referee shirt with thin black stripes, black shorts, black socks with three white stripes, and black shoes. It is recommended you bring an extra red or black referee shirt in case you blend in with the players. Your intent is to stand out on the pitch so everyone knows where you are. Don't forget to bring a watch! A nice countdown timer is preferred. Make sure you bring everything, even if you are only schedule to be an assistant.
